Motiv Mod. Type 3 Jacket Donegal Denim Charcoal Brown, a reinterpretation of the iconis Levi's type 3 trucker jacket in a Tweed-like denim fabric.
Motiv’s winter denim development with the best narrow loom weavers in China, in which nep yarns have been used for the weft of this fabric to create a Donegal tweed like effect. The back of the fabric has undergone a molleton process for extra soft touch and warmth. The warp is dyed with sulfur based dyestuff which would fade over time to give the garment a beautiful patina. All of our original herringbone denim products have undergone a one-wash process to ensure that they don’t shrink any further.
Motiv’s reinterpretation of the iconic Levi’s type-3 trucker jacket. By tilting the front panel by 30 degrees, the front yoke now runs into the shoulder, providing much needed movement space, the chest pocket is now slanted in an anatomic direction and the displacement on the side panel allows a set of hand pockets to be set in a comfortable position. The pattern has been intricately designed, allowing selvage lines to be used throughout the edges.
Motiv is an independent design studio from Beijing specialising in original patterns from the 1900s-1950s and converting them into a more functional style and cut. They focus on Tradition for the Future, a neo-classic approach to creating garments. Motiv strictly sources their fabrics from the top level mills in England, Ireland, Belgium, France, China and Japan.
